is it wrong to stop loving someone because they got fat?
me and my girlfriend have been together for over 3 years and gradually she has got quite fat which isnt nice to look at in the bedroom. our relationship hasnt been amazing for a while and i kinda see her as a friend now. is it wrong to stop loving her because she has put some weight on? i just dont feel the same anymore!
It may be morally wrong, but I think you need to re-evaluate your entire relationship. Is this seriously the only reason why you think you have fallen out of love with her, or is there maybe more to it that you are not acknowledging? It seems that there are other reasons- more deep reasons- that you may not love her anymore, and you need to figure out what those reasons are, think hard about what it would be like without her in your life, and then discuss it with her. It sounds like you are looking for an out and trying to blame this on her by saying she got too fat so you don't feel guilty. If you don't love her anymore because you guys have changed as people then let her know in a gentle way so she can move on with her life, but if being fat is honestly the only reason you are going to let go of a girl you obviously once loved then you need to grow a pair and wise up to the fact that beauty doesn't last forever. So maybe you will find a girl that will stay skinnier for longer but in the we are all going to be old, wrinkley, fat and ugly so it is best to choose someone that will keep you company when looks fade.
