Who sang the vocals on the original version of "Palisades Park"?
I know that Chuck Barris, the famous host of "The Gong Show" and possible CIA assassin, wrote this song, but who did the singing? He sent the song to Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon and it was released on several of his albums, but on a recent documentary about Barris it was said that Barris himself did the singing at Freddy Cannon's request. However, I have found old video showing Freddy Cannon singing the song and the vocals are identical to the original version, so who's doing the singing, Chuck or Freddy?
It was a popular teen dance tune in the 1960's.
