Unique ring from Aunt not sure what markings are ?
I received a ring from my aunt (she is in her 70's and has travelled the world) that is stamped on the inside it says 18K and the other side it says 925 BA( on the inside of the band).I tried to research it and I cant seem to figure it out,any help would be great!
The ring looks like an antique ring and the stone in the ring is Blue Topaz.I say antique cause it looks like it took a long time to make with little circles around the edges that look like they took time to do.
I believe that 925 BA is a sterling silver stamp...so if yours says both 18K and 925 BA, it might be silver with gold overlay, which I imagine was less expensive, but durable, at the time it was made? (I am guessing)
Your best bet would be to take it into a jewelry store to have it appraised if no one else in the family can tell you anything about it. Or, you might want to look up when or if Antique Roadshow will be anywhere near you and see if they will look at it?
