How do you report someone sending email that is from another country?
I have been receiving information about a job offer in another country that is from Warwick Mills...best thing is the person signs it Warwick Miller...like I am supposed to believe this is a persons real name.However, they promise to send a check to you to put in your account..also, you are supposed to take out your ten percent..and it continues on from there...what do you all think about this and where is the place I can report this scam? Does anyone out there know who I could contact about this because this is not the first company I have gotten stuff like this from...
The FBI has a partnered with the National White Collar Crime Center to handle internet based crimes and frauds through the Internet Crime Complaint Center. You can go to their website and file a formal complaint, or you can report it to your local law enforcement office, as well. However, unless you live in a major city, most LE departments do not have cyber crime divisions that have the capacity to investigate the emails themselves, unless you've actually given money to them and been defrauded, in which case it is usually referred to the FBI, anyways.
