my 6 year old son has a best friend, the prob is that the father admitted that he is racist against minorities
he even told me that our soldiers have every right to kill all muslim women and children. Our children have never in our home heard anyone refered to as hispanic, black, white, none of that. We feel that a person's identity has nothing to do with color, only the way they act and live.
How should I handle this situation? The child is a pretty good kid, but I don't want my son to hear the bigotted remarks that this kid may make.
Explain that all people should be judged not by their appearance but their heart. Just keep stressing that, and keep your son away from this child as much as possible.
