Thoughts on the "new"ly discovered Rolling Stones song?

To celebrate Record Store Day, The Rolling Stones issued a previously unreleased/newly discovered song called "Plundered My Soul." The song will also be included on the upcoming (May 2010) re-release of Exile on Main St.

I dig it. A nice slice of classic Stones, right? It might not be "Satisfication" or "Sympathy for the Devil," but this is hot for a discarded piece of music found deep in the vaults. Mick sounds great.

I am eager to buy the Exile reissue. Such a great rock album/early 1970s time capsule. Completely deserving of a high-profile re-release.

By the way, to celebrate the re-release of Exile, NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon will have a week's worth of musicians covering songs from the album. This begins on 10 May. Confirmed acts thus far include Keith Urban, Phish, and Sheryl Crow. On 14 May, Fallon will debut a new documentary called STONES IN EXILE.

It sounds so polished and clean, but fits in the mood of the album.

Good song and great find for Stones fans.
