It was on PBS..they are celebrating 50 years in the business..for people who don't know about Stax Records,it was home to true soul music icons like Rufus and Carla Thomas,Isaac Hayes and David Porter,Sam and Dave,Johnnie Taylor,The Staple Singers,Booker T. and The MG's,The Emotions,William Bell,and the late great Otis Redding,and many others!! it was SOULSVILLE USA,said to be the next thing to MOTOWN,HITSVILLE USA...stax records had some of the biggest hits to ever come out of Memphis,Tennesse:
