You probably knew I'd have to answer this one. I've been a fan for decades - first got to see him live when he was the warm-up for Cheech & Chong when they were crawling around on stage sniffing each others' butts (as a dog act - I was there specifically for the Hot Licks). Have since seen him a few more times, most notably in Piper's Opera House in Virginia City Nevada a couple of years ago.
I Scare Myself is a wonderful song, but you really need to hear the 1969 version with Sid Page on violin. This is the only place online I could find it available to listen to free:
