Mom had a cassette tape of I guess party type songs. I'm thinking it was from the 50's but not totally sure. On the first side the last song was Long, Long Lonely Hours by Ronnie Dove. There were also two versions of Party Doll - one on each side. I think one was by Buddy Knox (may be spelled wrong). This was one of her fave tapes and was stolen. I would love to find it again and surprise her. Am looking for a tape or possibly cd if it was ever done on cd. But first I need to find out the name of the album and where I might find it. Thanks for any help.
Back in the 1970's and 1980's you used to see a lot of these tapes marketed on TV by Time Life Recordings. It's possible the tape was made by some other company, but Time Life really ruled the "As Seen On TV" genre. They were the original "mix tapes." Here's a discography of some of them.
